Mission: Encourage life-long learning, promote alternative learning environments and equip you with 21st Century skills

What does an ideal learning environment look like?

The Reinventing School Challenge uses design, collaboration, technology, play and social media to engage and empower young people effect positive change in their school community. An opportunity to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and design new possibilities for learning. It’s fun, meets many learning objectives and fosters collaboration.

We invite students, teachers, parents, subject matter experts all to to collaborate. Form or join a team and research, ideate, design, remix and prototype new possibilities to reinvent the school experience. Teachers, Parents, Youth Workers, and other adults act as facilitators guiding young people in a partnership for creativity and learning.

The challenge can take place in or out of the school environment and teams can be a diverse mix of students, teachers, parents, business people. Teams can even be made up of people from different locations in the world, in fact we encourage students from Australia to collaborate with classrooms from other places.

Do it over a few classes, take an entire week, try it over the weekend as part of your community/youth group. It’s all up to you.
